Student iPads for 24-25
We are excited that our Bennett students are using iPads this school year. The iPads offer many ways our students can digitally engage with their lessons. These devices are meant to be used for schoolwork, reading and listening to books, math practice, school-related research, creating and sharing learning, and other assignments. iPad models and cases vary between grade levels.
Each student has been assigned an iPad and has a charger. Each student must return their equipment at the end of the year. As a reminder, under Regulation 350.02-2, students are responsible for reimbursing the School Board for actual breakage or destruction of property, or for the failure to return property owned by, or under the control of, the School Board.
Would you like details about the device insurance partnership that PWCS has with Securranty?
Your student may be bringing their iPad home to complete assignments soon. At school, we have talked about how students should use their devices. Please make sure you have a similar discussion with your child and monitor that your child is using the iPad appropriately.
How to connect an iPad to wireless internet?
To get on their iPad, students will need to know their passcode, student email address, username (which is the first part of their email address), and password. The goal is for students to know this information, but some may be using an aid to access their iPad. One aid for students in kindergarten – 2nd grade only is a Clever badge (a student-specific QR code). Teachers often send this home with students when the device comes home. If you need them, please ask your child’s teacher.
Does your student need to reset their password (not passcode)?
Does your student need technology support?
I know these iPads can be an awesome resource for our students this year. Thank you for your continued support with their learning!
Password Self-Service
Students can reset their passwords by using the Password Self-Service tool.
More password help can be found on the PWCS website.
