The Bennett Birthday Book program provides a way for parents, grandparents, or friends to honor the birthday of a Bennett student in a very special and lasting way, while at the same time helping to increase the number of books in our school library. This is a wonderful chance to teach your child about the "gift of giving" while honoring his or her birthday.
How the program works:
- Fill out the form and return it to school by Friday, October 22, 2021, with a check for $20 (the average price of a hardcover book) made out to Bennett Elementary.
- Our library will purchase books of various levels and interests based on the number of program participants.
- When the books arrive, your child will be called down to the library at a scheduled time to pick a title from the specially chosen group of birthday books.
- A permanent bookplate will be placed on the inside cover of the book with your child's name and birthdate. Your child will be the first library patron to borrow the book from the library. A picture of your child with their "Birthday Book: will be posted in the library.
- Your child's "Birthday Book" will be enjoyed for years to come by the students of Bennett Elementary.
Thank you for supporting this worthwhile program. Please feel free to contact the Bennett library staff with any questions you may have. Remember, forms are due by Friday, October 22, 2021.
