5th grade teachers wear Teacher Shark shirts

Welcome to the 5th Grade Website!

We hope that everyone is staying healthy and safe. We miss you!

Now that summer is here, remember to still read (every day if possible) and work on math skills. We suggest that you write a summary for each of the books you read this summer, because the fifth grade teachers will give you an extra credit A for each one (up to three total)!  Also, for those upcoming 5th graders, practice your multiplication facts as they will be extremely helpful next year! Additionally, you have access to IXL over the summer through your Clever account for practice. We can't wait to see you next year! Enjoy your summer!

If you have any questions, please e-mail us.

Important Information:
We would like to encourage students and parents to visit the PWCS Home Learning page. At this page you will find many great suggestions for continued learning at home. The 5th grade team will continue to update the Files and Documents page as needed.

Please have students continue to read and practice math using IXL and other resources.

*IXL - Please have students log-in to their Clever or Office 365 accounts (http://office365.pwcs.edu). Here, through Clever in the "waffle" on the top right of the page, they can access the IXL Application online. Students can not look up IXL through Google and try to log in and you can not go through the app either. Students email username@pwcs-edu.org.
*ALL LOGIN USERNAMES AND PASSWORDS ARE THE SAME FOR EACH APPLICATION. STUDENTS SHOULD KNOW THEM AS THEY CREATED THEM.

We require each student to read 100 minutes weekly and keep a weekly reading log.  On the back side of this log, each student is required to complete the weekly response and turn it in on Mondays (or the first day of the week).
